HONDAR 2050
CESARE MAGLIONI
HONDAR 2050 is an independent, participatory, low-budget, local documentary film. It is the inner and outer journey of a Basque artist to see what nobody wants to see: the plastic waste and marine garbage that affect our sea. It is an intimate journey closely linked with the Cantabrian Sea in search of answers and solutions. With this story we see how the habits of the individual can become the problem of all, although it does not seem so. Once the documentary is made, we want to make an extensive local diffusion, travelling along the Cantabrian Sea from Bizkaia to Lapurdi, bringing the project to educational centres and cultural houses, showing the film outdoors, organizing activities and exhibitions in order to foster the debate and consciousness about the issue of marine litter.
After years of working in a mechanical engineer training, in 2016 CESARE MAGLIONI approaches audiovisual creation by directing and recording the medium-length documentary Ceux qui nous nourrissent (Festival du Film Vert). Based in the Basque Country, he completed his training (EsCiVi, CENTA, Larrotxene) and began his career with the short film La voz de César (screened at festivals in Barcelona, Madrid, Paris and New York) and participated in shoots such as Kalebegiak (Moriarti Produkzioak), Ozpinaren sindromea (Zazpi t'erdi), Tarde para el recreo (Pablo Malo), La huida (Paco Arasanz). By now he has produced, recorded, directed and edited several audiovisual works: Héros ordinaires (Switzerland, 2017), Ongi etorri (Donostia Kultura - in progress), De agua y arena (Telmo Irureta Uria - in progress). He has also participated in some minor works: Big dance (Olatu Talka - British Council, 2016), Truco o trato (Donostia Kultura, 2017), Principio de inercia (Amaia San Sebastián - in progress).
